Our Christmas wish list just got longer!
Vlisco recently released an eclectic collection of style and glamour in collaboration with Jewel by Lisa, the Nigerian based brand known for colourful collections that fuse Ankara and other West African fabrics with modern tailoring and beaded embellishments just in time for holiday parties.
The collection which is titled Celebrate with style was created using wax Hollandais (also called Dutch Wax or Wax Block), Super-wax and Java fabrics with appealing patterns in shades like yellow, blue, green, red, pink, purple, orange and brown.
According to Lisa Folawiyo the head designer of Jewel by Lisa:
It was such a pleasure to work with Vlisco in designing the looks for their Christmas Holiday Collection. Working with Vlisco, the number 1 Wax company worldwide, and using my first fashion love, the ankara wax, has resulted in what can only be described as a match truly made in heaven.
The made-in-Holland fabrics used for this collection are influenced by the African fashion landscape and are available for sale on the Vlisco official website.
