You may recall Maame Adjei from the hit web series An African City. (I was obsessed I tell you, when is Season 3 coming out for gossake?!) Anyway I digress.
The actress, producer and sculptor has a new show called Girl Going Places, – her official website describes the show as ‘a travel show that focuses on all the hidden gems, landmarks, culture and traditions within the continent helping to change the narrative of a “dark continent.” Unlike other travel shows it’s main focus is internal tourism-getting Africans to travel within their own countries and on their own continent’
I don’t know about you but all these Black/African/Nigerian travel shows and movements really inspire me to see more of the continent, both from a content and experience perspective. Travel Noire, Nomadness, Tstmkrs Africa, Social Prefect Tours, Videnda Travel, NaijaNomads – there is so much to explore!
