Chilean wine, Escudo Rojo celebrated its consumers and retailers with yet another magnificent colourful carnival-themed party in Oke Arin market Balogun. This is its fourth year, and with the market waiting in anticipation every year for this parade that brings joy, colour, and life to this vibrant market, what better way than to go bigger and better.
The market was literally at a standstill in awe of the parade which included palanquins, carriages and many more exciting details to what made a very colourful parade. Retailers in anticipation of the yearly show of gratitude by the brand decorated their stalls with items which they (the brand), provided. The best stalls have been known to walk away with amazing prizes, and this year, the stakes were quite high.
True to Escudo Rojo tradition of hospitality, the team were seen serving Escudo Rojo Red wine, Rose and Chardonnay wines to onlookers- Chilean style,
engaging passers-by, who in turn, joined in the celebration. Making up part of the parade also, were members of the Nigerian marketing company (GDN), including Alex Kothoor, and from France, Thomas Frotte, Thibaut Jaubert and Pieter, plus the One Spirit team. All of whom participated in the celebration comprising of dance competitions and the famous breaking of the piñata.
At the end of the event, based on the best-decorated stalls, the gifts were handed out. In first position was, Just Kings, who whisked away five cartons of Escudo Rojo Red, the second position went to Mrs. Ogunkoya, who received three cartons of Escudo Red, while in the third position, was Madam Chinwe, who was awarded two cartons of Escudo Rojo. The experience definitely left a taste that the market won’t forget for a long time: according to one happy retailer; “They are very good, they do this every year, and they always treat us good.“
