Nigerian modest womenswear brand Amnas targeted specifically at young, fashionable Muslim women, recently released its off-season collection for stylish and modest BellaStylistas.
According to the statement following the release:
It is our belief that your culturally aware, globally curious readership will be very interested in learning about Amnas; the very delicate balance they strike between style and modesty; and how they are changing the stereotype surrounding Muslim women and fashion in Nigeria, and beyond.
Speaking about the collection, the designer, Fatima Gidado, had this to say:
For this collection, more than anything, I wanted to create pieces that were multi-functional. I want the Amnas woman to be able to wear a dress on different occasions and not be bored by such dress. So, there’s an element of function that marries aesthetics in such an elegant fashion.
