Minutes after Toke Makinwa uploaded a picture of her outfit on the internet, I came across a tweet that read ‘forget, Toke Makinwa got this fashion thing on a lockdown‘ and frankly, even as a writer, I would never be able to express my love for her style and this outfit better than that.
Wearing an all-white resplendent dress with a thigh-high slit, Toke Makinwa proves that she doesn’t play when it comes to fashion, rather she snatches edges without remorse. The dress, a creation of Erica Moore and Dami Oke, is a recreation of a classic all-white Balmain dress with a few changes that serve to improve the design and make it a better fit for Toke Makinwa all while still paying homage to the original masterpiece.
The result of the changes is a beautiful dress with a plunging neckline with a peekaboo cut-out on one shoulder and a train flowing on the other side. Toke finished up the outfit with a white fascinator, heeled sandals and a perfect face beat courtesy of Precious A. Nwele which overall has us giving her tens across the board!
