When it comes to fashion week, a true pro knows that there are a million and one unmissable things going on; from street style to runway shows and of course behind-the-scenes where all the magic happens. We are excited because as New York Fashion Week is in full swing, we are getting our dose of the next IT beauty trends from the runway and the Studio 189 show last night gave us unlimited inspiration.
It was truly an unmissable show – as we’ve come to accept from most Studio 189 shows – with an energetic performance from Ghanaian artist and musician Jojo Abot, choreography to Burna Boy‘s Anybody and an incredibly diverse and inclusive model lineup.
First up, Jojo proved more is more when it comes to beauty. She came on stage with a neon red chopped wig and bold swaths of blue across the entire eye area followed by jewel embellishments at the corners.
For the models, fresh dewy skin was the theme with one eye winged liner. The show celebrated the beauty of all shapes, sizes, colours and ages and what better way to emphasize this than with a natural glow-y finish. We didn’t miss the abundance of hair inspo; dreads, fros, braids and more dominated the show.
