Editor in chief of British Vogue, Edward Enninful was honoured at the Business of Fashion‘s VOICES Gala with the 2019 Global VOICES Award last weekend. VOICES is an annual talk series hosted by the publication that sees fashion insiders, as well as celebrities, activists, and influencers, engage in discussions about the fashion industry.
While receiving his award the Ghanaian Editor who was raised in London said London taught him how to be hard working.
I’m so grateful to be from London. A bold city, with all the colourful and creative people I grew up alongside, including many of you in this room. London taught me the meaning of hard work, it challenged me, but sometimes when I failed, this city picked me up and inspired me. It gave me opportunities I could never have dreamt of, and lead me down paths to friends who are now family.
The magazine lauded him with the award for his outstanding contribution to the fashion industry and exemplary impact on the wider fashion media landscape.
Supporting him at the event was Nigerian musician Tiwa Savage, the editor in chief of BoF Imran Amed, British actor Reggie Yates and more.
