UOMA Beauty debuted with an impressive array of inclusive makeup – creating a splash in a saturated industry with foundation shades, lipsticks, and highly pigmented eyeshadows for darker skin tones, last year at Ulta Beauty. Founded by Nigerian American Sharon Chuter (who is also a Revlon alum), who believes in championing diversity and develops her products with her culture and community front of mind , UOMA Beauty is ready to bring the beauty and magic of Carnival to you with its new limited-edition Black Magic Carnival Collection.
Major inspiration for this collection is definitely the inherent drama of carnival – think iridescent, vibrant colours, wild embellishment and bold, in your face makeup. The Carnival influence is clear with the shades named after different locations where carnival occurs – from Lagos to Barbados, Notting Hill to Trinidad and everything in between.
And even more exciting is the fact that our very own Jackie Aina fronts the campaign, alongside famous YouTuber Patrick Starrr.
The capsule collection, aptly named the ‘Black Magic Carnival’ includes lashes adorned with rhinestones, voluminous purple falsies, dramatic peacock-esque lengthy lashes and luscious face and body bronzing highlighters.
On her Instagram page Jackie shared:
Queen of carnival! ?I got to live out my fantasy carnival dreams with @uomabeauty for their new black magic carnival collection ? 20 people will win the FULL COLLECTION, one person will win $5k, three people will win $1k to go towards buying new filming equipment!
