If you’re having flashbacks to the noughties and early 2000s, fear not! It’s no longer necessary to pluck your eyebrows excessively as we did back in the day. We’ve swapped super-thin eyebrows for bolder, freer and fuller ones.
Do not apply creams, lotions, moisturizers, foundation, sunscreen, serums, oils, ointment on your eyebrow will suffocate your hair follicles. Should your eyebrows be recovering from over-plucking or thinning? You have to go around your eyebrows with the growth product. Regrowing eyebrows takes anywhere from six months to a year.
If you’re looking for eye-shaping tips, follow these steps to achieve the perfect eyebrow shape of your dreams at home.
Take a shape assessment
Maintain the natural shape of your eyebrows. Place your tweezers in front of your eyebrows as a guide to help determine where your eyebrows should begin. The bridge of your nose should be aligned with your tweezers. Now hold it diagonally against your nostril, extending past your eye’s outer corner — this is approximately where your brow should end. If your brow actually goes further than the outer corners, don’t worry about altering the ends’ length.
Trim strays
Begin by using your spoolie brush to comb your brow hairs upward. To achieve the most natural brow look, you should trim your stray hairs individually, rather than going all out and snipping them in a straight line (this will result in a blunt brow).
Fill in your eyebrows
Pencils, gels and powders work wonders to bridge the gaps between your eyebrow hairs, especially if your brows have been over-tweezed. Fill in any sparse areas with a pencil using dash-like strokes to mimic your natural hairs.
Fill in lightly with the colour that matches your eyebrows so that it’s barely noticeable. Blend out the colour and smooth any hard lines with a spoolie again. Apply brow gel to hold hairs in place and set the look.
Concealer can upgrade your eyebrow game
To achieve epic eyebrow proportions, reach for your trusty concealer. For highlighting and sculpting brows, you’re better off using a concealer that matches your face or is one shade lighter than your skin tone.
