The highly anticipated exclusive event Music Meets Runway Africa took place on the 24th of December 2021 at Moist Private Beach VI Lagos, Nigeria. MMR Africa showcased the ultimate fusion of Music & Fashion with models strutting down the runway, created right across the Atlantic Ocean. The event was unique, inspiring and breathtaking.
Designers on the night were Nya Raakna, founded by Creative Designer Oyinda Ahmed. Showcasing her brand and talent for the first time, she unveiled timeless African pieces with hand-tailored beading.
Next, Eclectic Menswear designer JReason led by Jide Adedeji, showcased colourful, hip, and casual ready-to-wear pieces accompanied by a fire performance by singing sensation FAVE, who thrilled the crowd all through with her hit songs ‘Beautiful and Baby Riddim’.
The third showcase on the night was a new lifestyle swimwear and accessories brand LRP Beach run by Jennifer Olize. This fun showcase featured Rising Superstar RUGER, who had guests on their feet with his hit singles “BOUNCE” and “DIOR”.
Next up was ZiVa Lagos, run by Tania Omotayo, who showcased her charming and chic pieces alongside Superstar LAX, who shut the event down with his powerful performance of his hit singles.
Closing the show was the sensational Ejiro Amos Tafiri, who showed up with a grand breaking collection that spoke elegance, class, confidence, innovation and the distinctive style of the timeless modern woman.
The show featured loads of entertainment, dance and fun. Several guests attended the celebration, including Jennifer Olize, Linda Ikeji, Millen Magese, Ozee Mbadiwe, Ocee Mbadiwe, Yvonne Nwosu, Uti Nwachukwu, Eric Akhigbe, Emmanuel Umoh, Niyi Lawal, among many others.
