Hi BellaStylistas! The BNStyle Plus Sound is a mini bi-weekly series we developed during our #BNSWomensMonth22 where we will spotlight 4 amazing female artists with incredible styles. For our final feature this March, we put the spotlight on one of our favourite style and beauty muses – Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems. The Essence break-out star can boast of her collaborations with Wizkid and Drake as well as earning two US top 40 entries on the Billboard Hot 100.

What caught our attention earlier in her career, in addition to her obvious musical talent was her fluid and comfy approach to fashion – androgynous pieces and silhouettes meet striking hair and makeup. Now with more accolades under her belt, the songstress is using fashion as a platform for self-expression.

Lately, we’ve seen her experiment with more feminine looks with hints of her personality and edge to every outfit she rocks. No doubt, her fashion and beauty staples are on the mood boards of her Gen-Z and millennial fan base for that ‘African Baddie’ vibe with a side of Y2K Fashion.

With her signature braided hairstyles, winged and graphic eyeliners, nude and oftentimes dark lined lips plus chic fitted cropped tops and elegantly loose bottoms, she never ceases to steal the moment.
