Inspired by efforts to reduce waste and love for The Ladymaker‘s handcrafted fabrics, the Waste to Wonder concept was birthed during the brand’s 5th anniversary in 2020 using cut-off fabrics and trims accumulated over the years.

The Bargello Dress was our first Waste to Wonder piece, crafted with over 400 hand-cut squares, a fusion of textures and colours in a classic Ladymaker A-line silhouette with a signature waist dart.

 

The masterpiece was unveiled in April as the first chapter of The Ladymaker’s Our Earth Story theme for World Earth Month. The Bargello Dress is crafted from fabric remnants from previous collections and repurposed into a work of art through intricate patchwork techniques.
