The Reroll Station Lab, an initiative of A+ Agency in collaboration with the British Council, is redefining creativity and sustainability in Nigeria.

Known for its expertise in delivering transformative capacity-building programs, A+ Agency empowers women and youths through the creative and digital industries, merging vocational training and entrepreneurship with cultural preservation.

Reroll Station Lab 2.0 is a capacity-building, co-creation and showcase program for designers in fashion, visual arts and architecture.

Reroll Station Lab 2.0, with support from the British Council and in partnership with Reweave UK, is an accelerator and incubator sustainability program, building capacity in sustainable design principles through creating a community platform where creatives can co-create new art and textiles by recycling & upcycling of waste materials to wearable and display art showcased to a global audience and get the creative opportunity to visit sustainable studios in SSA and the UK.

Reroll Station Lab 2.0 will select entrepreneurs and brands and provide them the opportunity to be trained by professionals on Zero-waste models and sustainable design principles by industry professionals in the sustainable design field, both in SSA (Sub-Saharan Africa ) and in the UK.

Participants will co-create with designers in the UK, have their work showcased in Nigeria and in the UK, gain access to the international market and have their art and designs uploaded digitally to an online museum for interaction with audiences.

Project Activities

Building Sustainable Business Models (Virtual Training)
Over five days, participants will undergo virtual training on reusing waste, preserving cultural heritage, and exploring sustainable business practices. Led by industry experts, the program covers key topics such as the principles of the circular economy and more.

Acceleration Program

  • Technical Weaving Training – A UK expert will train participants in advanced weaving techniques using improved looms.
  • Zero-Waste Training– intensive training on zero-waste business models, including practical sessions on pattern cutting, and repurposing fashion waste into new products.
  • Circular Economy – Architectural designers working with materials like metal, glass, clay, and wood will learn sustainable practices and methods for reducing and reusing waste in outdoor designs and ornaments.

Co-creation of Pieces – Reroll station lab 2.0 will create a system of pairing selected Nigerian designers with UK designers to creatively collaborate in producing art, architectural designs, woven textiles and fashion pieces that are eco-friendly, sustainable and culturally appreciated.

Showcase – Reroll Station Lab will serve as an innovative platform where collaborated works will be showcased and experienced interactively on a digital platform and a live exhibition, in Nigeria and in the UK.

Digital Museum – The digital museum showcases Nigerian artists and designers, preserving untold African cultural stories for future generations. It serves as a library of Nigerian designs, a showcase for indigenous brands, and a marketplace connecting designers with buyers.

Access to Market:- Pathways are created for creatives to access a global market space, pop-up shops in Nigeria and in the UK, create a platform for networking, exportation and importation of collaborated works and interaction with potential customers.
