BellaNaija, Africa’s leading tech-driven media platform, is teaming up with eHealth Africa, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving public health through technology, for the highly anticipated 6th edition of BNS Women’s Month. This year, the campaign is all about prioritizing the health and well-being of young Nigerian women and girls, aligning with the UN’s call for “Rights, Equality, and Empowerment” for all women and girls and marking the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration.

Young women in Nigeria face significant challenges in accessing sexual and reproductive health, mental health support, and quality healthcare. With this in mind, BellaNaija and eHealth Africa are joining forces to drive meaningful change by leveraging technology to raise awareness, provide vital resources, and advocate for systemic improvements.

“The media is a powerful tool to drive positive change,” says Mary Edoro, Chief of Staff/Head of Strategy at BellaNaija. “This Women’s Month, we are focusing on the critical issue of young women’s health. Data from the NDHS and UNICEF highlights the significant challenges they face in accessing quality healthcare. It underscores the importance of targeted interventions, increased awareness, and improved access. Our strategic partnership with eHealth Africa will ensure we can amplify our impact and empower young women to take control of their health and well-being.”

eHealth Africa’s strength in using technology for public health initiatives makes them an ideal partner for this year’s BNS Women’s Month. By combining eHA’s expertise with BellaNaija’s extensive reach, this collaboration aims to create lasting change and empower young women to thrive.
