We hosted the 1st panel discussion for our BNS Women’s Month 2025 activities on Saturday, the 8th of March which was International Women’s Day and it was very insightful!
During the session, we were joined by Dr. Ifunanya Ilodibe, Executive Vice President, Clinical Services & Chief Medical Officer at eHealth Africa Clinics and Dr. Tolulope Oko-Igaire, Executive Director Institute of Counselling Nigeria (ICN) and Sex, Couple & Mental Health Therapist.
Dr Ifunanya Ilodibe is a powerhouse in healthcare operations, quality, and patient safety with over 14 years of experience. As the Executive VP & Chief Medical Officer at EHA Clinics, she has led groundbreaking initiatives, including securing JCI accreditation and improving patient care standards. A graduate of the University of Ghana and the University of Sheffield, she’s also a CPHQ, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, and Crucial Conversations Trainer.
Dr Tolulope is a renowned couples therapist, sex therapist, and mental health counsellor transforming how people navigate relationships, intimacy, and emotional well-being across Africa. A trailblazer in sex therapy, she has trained and mentored over 500 counsellors, equipping them with the skills to address mental health and relationship challenges effectively. Widely regarded as a thought leader, she is the go-to expert for tackling the complexities of intimacy and couples’ dynamics. With a Master’s in Social Sciences and an Honorary PhD in Counseling, Dr. Tolu continues to redefine therapy, champion open conversations, and empower individuals and couples to build healthier connections.
The session tagged “Breaking The Barriers: Accessing Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in Nigeria” was led by BellaNaija’s Head of Editorial and Innovation, Oluwadunsin Deinde-Sanya. Our experienced speakers debunked myths about Sexual Healthcare and shared very useful tips for young girls and women in Nigeria to take better care of their health.
