It was truly a night of arts, glamour and exquisite dining last Saturday in the city of Lagos, as the world’s most loved champagne; Moët & Chandon, in conjunction with Filmhouse Cinemas, hosted the finest of the Nigerian film industry under one roof at the Wings Towers in Victoria Island.
The elegant evening was attended by guests such as Mo Abudu, Dakore Egbuson Akande, Kemi Adetiba, Michelle Dede, Alex Ekubo, Timini Egbuson, Toyin Ayimaku, Ireti Doyle, Uche Pedro, Uru Eke, Udoka Oyeka, Shaffy Bello, Lala Akidoju, Vimbai Mutinhiri, Mai Atafo, Omawunmi, Chi Gurl, Waje, Mawuli Gavor, Juliet Ibrahim and many more, who all graced the exquisite red carpet in their “Married to the Arts” themed high fashion attires.
The “Champagne of Cinema”, Moët & Chandon yet again created a unique and exclusive experience, treating the star-studded guests to glasses of champagne and fine dining, carefully curated by celebrity Chef Eros for the evening. Each course from the mouthwatering four-course meal was cooked and paired with a Moët & Chandon variety. Decadent desserts and exotic frozen yogurt were prepared by Melting Moments and Sweet Kiwi, respectively.
Seven remarkably innovative and creative short-films were screened during the course of the evening, followed by live voting which was conducted right there in the room. The winner of the 1st Annual The Film Gala Award was announced to be, Michael Akinrogunde, producer of the short film – PENANCE, and he went home with a cash prize of 1 Million Naira and a Film Distribution deal.

The evening ended with an after party which held at the same venue. Guests loosened up to some great music, good conversations and glasses of Moet. It was indeed a great vibe.
