When Banke Kuku unveiled the new Oceans Collection at the Oceans Front Row show in October, it was with statement diamond and 18-karat gold jewellery pieces custom-made by Mayomi Ogedengbe and the Meeyas team. These lifetime luxury jewellery pieces captured the essence of Banke Kuku’s sustainability vision and Ocean conservation campaign.
Crafted with inspiration from elegant seaforms, Mayomi and the Meeyas team had done an impeccable job of matching prints to jewellery in a very unique way. Mayomi and Banke got together before the show to discuss the project and review some pieces, watch this video below to see how it went:

Brought together by a shared passion for artistry and sustainability, the two brands (Meeyas & Banke Kuku) merged their creative visions to pay homage to the beauty and fragility of marine life. Meeyas designed an exquisite range of jewellery that echoes the vibrant hues of coral reefs, the glow of pearls, and the diversity of African oceans.
The collaboration explored the concept of wearable art with the Oceans collection standing as a celebration of nature’s underwater wonders and a reminder of the role that sustainable fashion plays in protecting our planet’s most precious ecosystems.
