Santa came early!
BellaNaija Style has teamed up with Fashion/Wardrobe Stylist, Yummie Ogbebor for the Ultimate Makeover as she opens her fashion and styling hub called The Studio by You and Me.
The studio which will also serve as a high-end retail store, stocking both local and international fashion items will be open to the public on Saturday 3rd of December.
Now to the juicy part, to mark the launch of The Studio by You and Me, we are offering a chance for one lucky person (living in Lagos, Nigeria) to win a total fashion makeover; with amazing outfit choices from luxury Nigerian brands.

On Wednesday, 10 finalists will be selected and their profile posted on our Instagram page @bellanaijastyle.
The post with the most compelling story and the highest number of likes gets a full fashion turnaround on Friday with all the clothes used, just in time to attend the star-studded launch party in style.

Yummie has styled a handful of Nigerian celebrities including Rita Dominic, Osas Ighodaro, Michelle Dede among others.
Through her new space, she aims to cement the gild between the daily hassle and the ever-evolving dimensions of fashion and art with relatively world class services.

I deserve a makeover because styling people gives me joy. I bring out ideas, choices and fire for what I do, that is within me. I love seeing people well-put together in their looks. My styling has never gotten a negative remark because I know what should go with what, and I am updated in the fashion industry. And an early Christmas present wouldn’t hurt. These and many more were the words I heard since 2013 when I stopped putting on pants. I quit because it didn’t give me the confidence I needed after hours of dressing up. Regardless of societal opinions I wasn’t judgmental to those who dressed up in them either.
There is no doubt that fashion has evolved so much over the years but I still believed in the power of creating one’s style and as a result I stuck to skirts and dresses because it gave me that confidence I lacked and the elegance and classy feeling I loved and most importantly I stood my grounds about my own style irrespective of the taunts.
Being selected for this ultimate Christmas makeover will prove that one’s style shouldn’t be forced but rather it should be an expression of how one feels and should also be seen as a medium of stirring up confidence in anyone struggling to find his /her own fitting.

Growing up as a child, my mum always stressed the importance looking good. I have learnt to have a excellent fashion style and be creative with my outfit to suit every occasion.
As a career lady-who is always out and about for meetings- wife and mum, I make sure my fashion sense suits my lifestyle. From corporate to dressdowns to casuals for playing around with my kid, to slaying outfits with the husband, I ensure I always good look and comfortable in my outfit.
Yummie Ogbebor is a stylist who cuts across different fashion style and I believe I would be perfect to get the ultimate Christmas makeover because my lifestyle would give her the room to be creative and style me in different styles.

I deserve the Christmas makeover because I wanna see how beautiful and glammed I could be. That’s so different from my everyday look. I love fashion alot and I love playing with whatever would make me look more beautiful. So the Christmas makeover is a dream come true for me. And also Yummie ogbebor is someone I look up to. Beauty to some may mean changing their personalities and look, but to others it may mean something completely different. Either way, I decide how to make myself feel beautiful through either of these ways. I need this makeover because I want to experience another version of myself. I want to know how I look with variant colours on my skin and happiness on my cheeks. If I had an opportunity such as this, why wouldn’t I jump at it with open arms?
Being selected for this makeover would go a long way in proving that women can be beautiful if you just let yourself be.

As a young entrepreneur, who started her little fashion business this year, it’s been a mix of crazy, disappointment, unfinished goals, unachieved dreams etc. I have had the best and worst year ever combined.
In the process of trying to stay on course, I’ve literally had absolutely no time for myself. Barely payed attention to my looks and not even cared about myself one bit. If i even have to look good on any occasion, it’s not without having in mind that I’m just a body to hand my product for people to see and buy. I guess those are the things that come with starting a business, it’s really not about you.
I will love to benefit from this make over because it’ll give me the opportunity to look at myself as beautiful again, go from the disheveled,scattered and disorganized oby to princess charming even if it’s for a day.
Looking good does build self confidence and I’ll love to get mine back (lost part of it ☹️)

Hi, my name is Rose U with IG handle @rose_umane and I will like to put in my entry for the free makeover with @S.b.youme.
Why do I deserve to be picked? Simply put, I love fashion?. I love clothes especially with exagerated & loud designs. I love playing dress up and looking good.
I work in a place where you can be very casual to work so most of the time I am not dressed up but the day I decide to dress up, I go all the way out. My colleagues even created an alter ego name for me when I am dressed up.?
Apart from this, I have a secret crush on @S.b.youme, I love her taste in fashion. I have seen so many stylist in my line of work and only a few impress me one of which is sbyoume.
I always tell myself that @s.b.youme will style me for my wedding when I eventually locate the husband wherever he is hiding?. Even though @s.b.youme doesn’t do weddings, I plan on having her to style me for my big day in the future, lol…that is how much I love her work.

You are too fashion conscious, why cant you just be you and stop making so much about fashion matter… these were the kind of words I get when I was growing up back in my hometown around some family and friends. What they didnt understand is that fashion is part of me, it is me.
I have learnt alot about fashion and am still learning. Even went as far as learning fashion designing for me to be able to sew and make something out of what I love. I keep it simple, work according to my budget but never underestimate the power of looking good. Am a work in progress when it comes to fashion and yes I am getting there.
Fashion for me is really a language and I intend to continue speaking well with it.

Last year I experienced some blows from life that broke me, in the midst of this, I left my job, took a step of faith and began my business… through it all, the road to recovery has not been easy albeit an interesting one. I have learnt a lot about myself…I still am and I love the woman I am becoming. I have found a new appreciation for little things, I have found love, regaining my peace and what better way to crown the year than with a total fashion makeover!
