After a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, DStv and Mzansi Magic hosted the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards (DStvMVCA) at the Sun Arena in Pretoria on 25 June.

Celebrities, influencers, and elite guests shined on the blue carpet, dressed to the nines and ready to support their peers as they snag the coveted awards. The host, Lawrence Maleka, and the likes of Boity, Mpho Wabadimo, PH, Khutso Theledi and Presely Chweneyagae brought good humour and a positive attitude on stage.

Sponsored by Telkom and Kia, alongside associate sponsor – Diageo South Africa’s Tanqueray gin, the show produced musical performances by Kamo Mphela, Tuks Senganga, Nomfundo Moh and Zakes Bantwini who kept the audience dancing, bringing everyone into the spirit of celebrating the success of the South African entertainment industry favourites.

Another angle that caught our attention was the show-stopping ensembles the style superstars rolled up in. From unmissable appearances of Blue Mbombo in a breathtaking Scalo Design gown to Lerato Kganyago in a mesmerising hot pink number from Gert-Johan Coetzee, here are the looks that captured our hearts from the ceremony.
