South African multi-media personality Bonang Matheba is a woman on a mission and that mission is clearly to become a force worth reckoning with on the African continent and beyond. Just right after announcing her soon-to-aired reality TV series Bonang: Coming To America, Bonang has made her way to the cover of the latest issue of Cosmopolitan South Africa.
In the exclusive interview with Cosmopolitan South Africa, Bonang opens up about co-hosting Global Citizen Festival with Oprah Winfrey and Naomi Campbell, balancing work and family friends, taking care of herself and her skin.
When asked about what advice she would give to COSMO girls, the multi-award winning media personality and business mogul had this to say;
We live in the era of social media – a world of instant gratification. We forget that it takes time to achieve success. It took 16 years to be where I am. It takes patience, perseverance, praying, focus, dedication and love. It takes being true and being patient enough to complete what it is that you’ve started. I always say it takes about four to five years to be successful because it’s true. I think the young generation needs to realise that, and go back and appreciate hard work – starting from the bottom and climbing up the ladder to get to where you want to be.
