Afrobeats superstar, Davido set the internet buzzing as he wedded the love of his life Chioma in a lavish traditional wedding ceremony. His amazing outfits were one of the most talked about aspects of the ceremony. His first look was a magnificent agbada by renowned menswear brand, Deji & Kola.

Tagged “Iroko“, this Yoruba traditional attire was made from custom Aso Oke by Woven Market Africa featuring an exquisitely embroidered tree design in front with intricate matching bead details. The look took about eighteen (18) artisans nine (9) working days to create.

According to the designer, the tree embellishment in front of the attire is an ode to Davido’s phenomenal essence: the many lives he has touched, the way his impact has branched out into various aspects of life beyond music, his heritage, and his connection to his deep roots at home in the family, culture, etc. Hit the ▶ button below to watch a bit of the creative process:
