On day 6 of the #makeupbyashabeepotraitchallenge we are honoured to present to you Bunmi George aka Shredder Gang.
An elegant woman with an inspiring story that still marvels me today. This is Bunmi George, the founder of @shreddergang, a professional nutrition and fitness company. Many may wonder how she can excellently pull that off but I’m not surprised, Bunmi has an iron mind and she has proven that one’s challenges could be stepping stones to success.
I first met Bunmi 4 years ago at a friend’s studio where she spoke passionately about her WhatsApp group for young women trying to lose weight and stay fit and how they motivate each other to attain their goals. It made no sense to me then but 5 years later, that has become the brand we now celebrate as @shreddergang. Her growth is tremendous and in Nigeria right now there is no one serious about starting a fitness journey that hasn’t heard of the brand. Her group of trainers, meal plans, fitness products and exercise plans are top notch.
I’m sure, you’d all be wondering, ‘what was the motivation?’. Well, Bunmi bagged a degree in clinical psychology and dietetics but she had an obesity challenge, a condition that was affecting her self-esteem. She was tired of remaining that way so, she lost 55kg in 14months, the healthy way. This is what inspired Bunmi and what propelled her to build a career in helping others ‘shred’ weight.
Shreddergang started in 2012 and 6years down the line, it has blossomed so well with the quality products and the fitness techniques.
Interestingly, Bunmi started out with no capital, just her knowledge and determination. Today, many people have testified of losing weight with the help of Shreddergang. She is consistent, always working towards the needed result for her clients making her a trusted and well-respected authority.
Bunmi is a workaholic and to spice it up, she’s a beautiful mother to two children. Cheers to a woman who has forged through setbacks and has made something out of nothing.
