This year’s gathering was a platform for meaningful conversations that matter. At the eHealth Africa Panel themed “The Intersection of Technology and Healthcare Access for Women,” we delved deep into the pressing healthcare gaps affecting young women and girls across the continent. Moderated by Akpevweoghene Audrey Odogu. Featuring insights from Ota Akhigbe, Director of Programs & Partnerships at eHealth Africa, and Bukky Akinsemoyin, Director of Partnerships & Funding at the AIG Imoukhuede Foundation, the session explored how tech-driven collaborations and inclusive strategies are reshaping healthcare for women and girls across Nigeria.

One major takeaway? Financial access remains a critical barrier. With inflation at an all-time high, basic needs like food and shelter take priority, leaving reproductive and general healthcare needs unmet. It’s a sobering truth that highlights the urgent need to accelerate action and investment in women’s health.
