You simply cannot talk about the growth of Africa’s fashion industry without bringing up Beth Modelling Agency. Championed by former model Elizabeth Elohor, this agency has groomed and raised a plethora of successful models and through initiatives like Elite Model Look Africa offered African models the pivotal push needed both internationally and locally. Now, after over 10 years of partnering with the international EML franchise, this fashion entrepreneur has unveiled a new project – Future Face Africa.
The initiative which aims to be Africa’s largest model search is focusing on emerging, female talent, who will compete for a chance to win a 2-year international modeling contract with as well as a $10,000 cash reward, providing aspirants with not just a start in modeling but also a career on the global stage.
In a 2019 interview with BellaNaija Style, Elizabeth mentioned that one of her goals is “to discover African youths and to give them a pedestal to succeed internationally, also to promote and develop the African fashion and modeling industry.” Her passion for the growth of the African modeling industry cannot be over-emphasized. Future Face Africa was officially unveiled recently at an exclusive event in Lagos attended by top celebrities, key players in the Nigerian fashion industry, models, and more including Tiwa Savage, Rita Dominic, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi, Osas Ighodaro, Abisola Kola-Daisi, Moses Ebite, and 2017 EML Nigeria winner Oluwatobiloba Momoh.
Commenting on the event and the launch, Elizabeth wrote in an Instagram caption:
So excited to finally begin this new chapter. It’s about to be a very extraordinary moment for the industry globally.
