From bags and slides to t-shirts and matching floral sets, Gucci‘s 2017 collections were the items style stars couldn’t get enough of in 2017.
According to this report by Lyst, the Italian heritage brand made the top spot as the most searched-for brand; its slogan T-shirt, and the GG belt were the most-desired items, and the brand’s maximalist styling inspiring a wave of searches for cheaper imitators.
When Alessandro Michele presented the Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer 2017 shows last year we were sure the memorable looks would go viral in 2017.
And we were right! In April, Rihanna set the pace when she wore the Swarovski crystal-emblazoned catsuit, complete with face-covering, branded vest, and denim booty shorts straight off the FW17 runway to Coachella.
Similar to the internet-breaking Gucci sweatshirt and pants, Toke Makinwa, Bonang Matheba and HushPuppi had their own moment, when they all wore the same Flora Print Silk pajama set.
Toke convinced us this year that she’s a #GucciGirl, growing a covetable collection of bags, shoes, and dresses.
While fellow media IT girl Bonang, who already had enviable Gucci goodies received a surprise Gucci gift from musician AKA, who is also a fan. #BoyfriendGoals.
Never to be left out on what’s trendy, Instagram style stars Lisa Folawiyo and Tosin Adegbite were fit for aBN Pick Your Favemashup when they both have styled very similar Embroidered and Printed Cotton Sweatshirts this year.
