The fifth annual Condé Nast International Luxury Conference hosted by British journalist, fashion critic and Editor of Vogue International Suzy Menkes, OBE is set to hold in Cape Town on the 10th & 11th of April 2019. The conference tagged The Nature of Luxury will examine the promise and value of the African market for the global luxury and fashion industry, and the power of the continent as a creative, manufacturing and retail hub.

As the industry evolves, the programme will look at the true meaning of luxury. In a series of panel sessions, keynotes and interviews, speakers will also discuss sustainable business and conscious consumerism, the importance of Afrocentric luxury, strategies for retail success and the ongoing influence of technology.

Speakers include business and creative leaders from international luxury and fashion brands, disrupters and innovators, industry observers, investors, and visionaries. Among the speakers, Nigerian Designer, Founder and Creative Director of Tiffany Amber – Folake Coker, Founder of Style House Files and Lagos Fashion Week – Omoyemi Akerele, Ghanaian Co-Founder of Studio 189 – Abrima Eriwiah, Founder and South African Designer of Maxhosa By Laduma –  Laduma Ngxokolo will take center stage with Suzy Menkes at the biggest luxury conference in the world.
