Co-founded by Rosario Dawson and Abrima Erwiah, Studio One Eighty Nine is an artisan-produced fashion lifestyle brand that is presenting Africa to the world on a global scale. They recently showcased pieces from their Spring Summer 2022 collection at the recently concluded Glitz Africa Fashion Week in Accra.
All the looks at the showcase were sourced from locally sourced and produced material. Studio 189 works with artisanal communities that specialize in various traditional craftmanship techniques, including natural plant-based dye indigo, hand batik, kente weaving, and more.
