Iro Lagos, a Nigerian based Women clothing brand, has commenced stocking in one of Nairobi’s finest apparel retail stores Designing Africa Collective (DAC) starting off with a customized “Nairobi” collection inspired by Massai traditional pieces and African print.
Iro Lagos’ Founder and Creative Director, Lara Adedoyin-Afun in a statement highlighted the importance of creating awareness of the traditional Yoruba Iro and Buba (wrapper and top) across Africa;
It is such an honour to be a part of these exciting times where our traditional pieces can be worn by other African women. It will be interesting to see styles that will trend from the collection currently in stock in Nairobi. Going by the positive response to our brand, we look forward to a bright future in Kenya.
The Nairobi inspired collection features dresses and wrap sets in vibrant colours and designs that resonate with every African Woman. Kenyan stylist from the Connie Aluoch Styling Management, Connie Aluoch said:
