Afropunk, Johannesburg 2018 brought with it lots of free-spirited bohèmes looking to enjoy the music and pageantry. For a lot of fashion purists, sometimes the ‘more is more’ aesthetic of festivals like Afropunk and Coachella can feel at best a bit much, and at worst derivative and repetitive – but Kehinde Smith brought a breath of fresh air with this outfit that is both playful and sexy.
The influencer was in a print and neutral ensemble, heavy on the casual-chic factor with its bandeau top and and a tapered print trouser. A monochrome turban crisply finished the look, with a pair of polarised, statement shades and minimal layered necklaces contributing to the laid-back vibe.
