It was a major fashion moment on Saturday, 3rd June 2023, when — Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy — took to the sold-out London Stadium stage in an exquisitely pleated masterpiece for the ‘Love, Damini’ Concert.
Making history as the first African artist to headline a stadium show in the United Kingdom, Burna Boy delivered an unusual spectacle of the fabulous suit from Robert Wun‘s SS23 Aves-inspired collection as he charged up his fans with an electrifying performance of over 49 songs at the 60,000-capacity stadium.
A-listers like Rege Jean and Bretman Rock have been spotted rocking pieces from this fabulous collection, however, Burna’s moment was even more special because his ensemble had been seen on American actress, executive producer and series host — Tracee Ellis Ross — when she graced the Good Morning America show last October. He now reveals the masculinity of this versatile outfit.

Syncing with Beyonce who also rocked Robert Wun Custom Black Blossom full look for her 5th and last London show of the Renaissance Tour on the same night, it’s no coincidence that Burna Boy chose an outfit from a history-making designer for his history-making concert.
Born in Hong Kong, London-based Robert Wun made history as the first Hong Kong designer to debut at Paris Haute Couture Week on the 26th of January, where he closed the show with an array of eclectic, sculptural designs.
Styled to the T by the forward-thinking Ronami Ogulu, Burna rocked his outfit with an edgy updo, afro-centric jewellery and a dark bone.

This is not the first time Burna Boy is showing out in an elegant showpiece from the collection. At Paris La Défense Arena, he was spotted in The SS23 Black Raven full look for the sensational Damini Fair in Paris on the 20th of May.
