Following the impressive expansion of MAC’s Studio Fix line foundations, the BellaNaija beauty team, took a trip to one of the MAC outlets in Lagos, at the Palms Mall Lekki, and got their shades tested by Marco Louis himself.

The cosmetics brand has had 43 existing shades of its Pro Longwear Foundation for several years now and just upped the ante with an even more extensive shade range.

The new Studio Fix foundation ranges from a super light N4.5, which falls in between existing shades N4 and N5 (N is for neutral, W is for warm and C is for cool-toned shades which means it also covers a wide range of undertones) up to NW60, the darkest shade available.

Mary and Rose tried out the new foundation and here’s what they think about it:

Rose

Shade: SPF15 NC50

I was never a fan of using foundations and it wasn’t a part of my beauty regime because of how heavy it felt on my skin but using Studio Fix Foundation was quite a delightful experience.

The foundation is so soft and light on my skin and most importantly, it gives me a complete cover. I can use Studio Fix Foundation without ever worrying about my makeup running under this Lagos weather!

As a girl who wears makeup almost every day (almost), finding a full coverage foundation that doesn’t feel like I have a clay mask on is truly worth celebrating and that’s how Studio Fix made me feel. It looks and feels very flawless – in a natural way.

The slightly matte finish was also one thing I loved about it. It gave my full face the same shade with little or no effort.

Super grateful to Marco and his team for taking out time to match our shades and giving us these pretty looks for the rest of the day.

Mary

Shade: SPF15 NC50
