Hey #BellaStylistas!

It’s Christmas season aka the most wonderful time of the year aka my favourite time of the year!

@lagoscitychic

Lagos is one of my favorite cities for many reasons but this time of the year, I particularly enjoy being here because the city totally comes alive! With the numerous events; concerts, launches, partee after partee – there is so much to look forward to.

For locals, navigating through the city for these numerous activities might not be much of a hassle but for the out-of-towners and IJGBs deciding on the best places to go during this busy period will be a chore.

I like to consider myself a Lagos insider (hence the nickname) and to ease things up, I have curated some of my favourite 2019 places and things to do in Lagos.

Whether you plan on restuarant hopping, finding the best clubs or partaking in the most fun activities this #DettyDecember, I got you.

First Stop

Ebeano Supermarket: Yes, I’ll admit it I’m at the Prince Ebeano compound on Admiralty Way at least twice a week. You can get last minute christmas gifts and all the basic essentials you need. There is also a super cute coffee shop in the premises.

My 2019 Favourite:

Cafe: The Flowershop Cafe in Victoria Island got a facelift and I totally love the new vibe; fresh flowers and that good good coffee.
Dessert Shop: My favourite Abuja waffle shop, Chloe’s Cupcake Haven launched in Lagos and now it’s my Lagos favourite. Waffle Wednesdays are my cheat days!
Restaurant: This list is long but I’ll say a good restuarant in my opinion is a cumulation of good food, great service, perfect scenery and lighting for my pictures (yes, you read that right)
So I’ll say:
Breakfast: Circa Lagos, Vanilla Moon
Lunch: Noir,  HSE Gourmet
Dinner: Circa Non Pareil, Quid by De Brit

Location: Circa Lagos

I’ll Recommend

Accomodation: Raddison Hotel Lagos in Ikeja, The George and Southern Sun in Ikoyi, The Lilygate in Lekki.
Club/Bars: An all time favourite is Velvett Lounge in Victoria Island – great music and great cocktails. For a calmer experience, I’ll choose SkyBox in Lekki Phase 1.
Cinema: FilmHouse is one of my favourite cinemas here and with the launch of thier new MX4D screens – it’s a worthwhile experience.
Beach: Scencillo Beach house in Illashe, Little Zanzibar in Eleko
Concerts/Festivals: I’m not a fan of crowded spaces but I’ll recommend Eat.Drink. Festival, All White Fiesta & Kizz Daniel Live. You can find more fun concerts and festivals here.

Where To Shop: There are a number of stores in Lagos – from budget friendly finds to high-end options, but this year I had the best curated shopping experiences at these on-stop shops that stock everything from bags to shoes and accesories; Temple Muse, The Republic and Miskay Boutique. Check out my Instagram to find more stores I shop from.

Can’t Be In Lagos and Not: Go to the beach! All year round the beaches in Lagos are bubbling with great music, even greater vibes and super fun activities like kayaking and scuba diving. From Ilashe (Sencillo) to Oniru (Landmark) – you can’t afford to leave Lagos without catching a wave!

Lagos’ Best Kept Secret: Definitely La Campagne Tropicana. A small sceneic resort tucked away in the outskirts of Lagos. It’s almost too good to be true. If you want a mini vacation away from #DettyDecember, I strongly suggest you take a trip there.

PS: There is usually a lot of traffic this time of the year, so always factor that, safety and security in all your plans.
