When it comes to fashion designers that continue to push the bar in terms of edgy cuts and out-of-the-ordinary ensembles, OG Okonkwo is definitely one to count.
Her most recent collection for her brand Style Temple features soft feminine pieces with pastel colours and sheer fabrics, but there is also a strong contrast with a hint of androgyny, especially with the matching sets, tunics, and dresses with special embroidered detailing reminiscent of Hausa traditional caps.
OG who routinely slips into her own pieces, occasionally making slight tweaks to fit the occasion, doesn’t do this just to promote her brand — you can tell that she loves the clothes she designs. She looked extra crisp recently in a classy white jacket dress with the Hausa-style embroidered belt, paired with strappy heels. A soft daytime makeup look and minimal accessories to finish up her outfit.
