Nigerian clothing brand Olabisi O’dunne just released their new collection tagged “Dear Maria” and it’s laced with all the retro bridal style inspo you need. The collection, which is the brand’s first foray into bridal wear features a range of wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses influenced heavily by 1850s fashion. The brand says that they are excited to be releasing a full bridal collection.
We’re extremely excited to announce the birth of our first-ever bridal collection, “Dear Maria”. This body of work is a tribute to the gracefully modest women of the ’50s. Their fashion has greatly influenced modern designers like us and we decided to start our lookbook journey honouring them.
It’s a rather mundane collection compared with the brand’s aesthetics but this is how we’ve chosen to start; Simplistic!
Dear Maria, our premier bridal collection, is inspired by the quintessence of the 50s woman. Her style is especially beloved because it upholds modesty and redefines elegance in an utterly glamorous way.
The collection features 10 looks made out of different lush fabric textures and vintage designs. The production and design team worked with so much passion and fervour ensuring each garment is a compilation of perfect elements.
