We spoke to the stylist, Hannah Osanyintolu, who is also the creative director at SISÍHANNAH and here is what she said:
The concept was to capture Pelumi Nubi’s essence during her media runs upon her arrival in Lagos, reflecting her simplicity through fashion. With limited time and numerous considerations, we aimed not just to style her, but also to freeze a moment in time during her fittings at the designer’s studio.
“It felt like I only had 5 minutes to create editorial-worthy images,” remarked Tomiwa, the photographer.
Shot at DSA Lagos‘ atelier in Ikoyi, surrounded by Lagos’ architecture and greenery, these images serve as a reminder of Pelumi’s arrival.
“I’ve never done anything like this before, so I don’t even know how it works,” confessed Pelumi Nubi. It was a beautiful moment.
