The pinstripe suit was once a wardrobe essential for corporate jobs and formal meetings but recently we have seen it on the runways and at fashion shows – who would have thunk it!
Mimi Onalaja is one of our favourite media girls always expressing herself through fashion and her latest outfit made us do a double take. For Fashions Finest Africa Awards show last weekend, she showed up in a pinstripe suit set from Nigerian fashion brand REKANA.
She definitely turned heads in the otherwise boring prints. How?
The fit: A well fitting suit is the key to a chic suit look. This REKANA suit from its Spring/Summer 2018 collection with its pants cropped at the ankles and long sleeved jacket had a stylish fit.
Paired with: A sultry black camisole with a plunging neckline. This transformed the look and gave it a sexy edge.
Colour pop:Brightly coloured accessories have a way of injecting some personality into pinstripes. And Mimi achieved this with a pair of green sandals.
Plus her glowing facebeat with dramatic lashes, perfectly lined eyes and glossy lips done by Adamma kenneth with a curly blonde hairstyle sure made the whole look come together nicely.
