Here’s a quick and simple recipe from Kitchen Muse for Nigerian Akara which is also known as beans cake. It’s usually eaten with Pap/Ogi which is a kind of cereal pudding also from Nigeria, typically made from maize, sorghum, or millet.
Brown Beans contain fibre and protein and so keeps you full for longer. It’s perfect for breakfast while you go about your busy day without getting hunger pangs.
You can also pan fry the batter to make Akara Pancakes and cut out excess oil.
