Keep reading if you’re a fan of the tie dye trend!
So I have always been a fan of adire, so when the tie dye trend became a global phenom (hi Proenza Schouler) I knew adire was about to have its moment in the sun. I first spotted this Amede look a while ago, then I thought about it again when they released their latest collection and I knew I had to have it. Thanks to the talented Amede Nzeribe, I got this sweet, sweet two-piece number earlier this year, and I’ve been waiting to wear it for ages.
Not only is it super easy to wear, comfortable and a total compliment magnet, the kimono shape is super flattering and ideal for hiding an extra bit of weight (something I really need right now).
Once I tried it on I knew: It was an instant classic. It has a really breathable silk blend fabrication that skims your figure just so, the cutouts in the kimono sleeves added a bit of fun and the adire print was distinctive without being overwhelming.
This time, heading to lunch at Sofia Yorkville, I styled it without the matching belt, opting instead for an old faithful from ASOS. I had my hair up, threw on a pair of dark cat-eye sunglasses from Topshop and my trusty Adidas Stan Smiths (you can never have enough Stan Smiths in my opinion) and voila! The perfect lunch ‘fit.
Since then, I’ve also paired the top with biker shorts, and the pants with a simple white tee and oversized blazer over it. In short this ensemble brings me joy and definitely gives you more than enough bang for your buck. What’s not to love?
