Founded by Nigerian born Sharon Chuter, UOMA Beauty held its launch event last month at the NeueHouse Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.
UOMA which means ‘beautiful’ in Igbo, the native language from South-Eastern Nigeria and is inspired by the cultural heritage of the world’s most racially diverse continent – Africa. The newly launched UOMA Beauty speaks to a global, culturally eclectic diaspora (be it Lagos, Morocco, Rio de Janeiro, New York, London or New Orleans).
Guests in attendance included Kelis, Halima Aden, Draya Michelle, Nyakim, Jasmine Tookes, Skai Jackson, Ashley Blaine Featherston, with performances by Estelle, Tiwa Savage, DJ Spinall, Laolu NYC, and Burna Boy.
