There used to be a time when the only body shape that counted was being long and lean like a supermodel. No ifs and definitely no butts. Today, the ballpark is wide open. Beauty isn’t a narrowly defined concept. Naomi Campbell fought to be accepted as beautiful back in the 80s but in modern times it is women like Ashley Graham, Kim Kardashian and also Serena Williams who have expanded our idea of beauty. Each of them represents a very different type of beauty and body shape.


But having all these body choices to choose from can be a dilemma. Obviously, there’s a different training regime for each one. Do you want a big booty or a flat one? You want to look strong and square or do you want to snatch that waist?

Read on for an exercise guide for each body type and then try out the Supermodel move of the week. It was designed for Victoria Secret Models and is an exercise that’s going to lengthen and tone your limbs. It may look lightweight but looks can be deceiving. She has represented the strong, slightly more square look and many women are finding this to be a much more powerful body goal both mentally and physically.

To get this look you don’t have to be a tennis champion. You will have to kill those abs tho with a serious weight training program alongside tons of cardio. You’ll have to eat very well too – lots of protein to build muscle.

The most successful plus-size model of all time. According to her trainer, she does weights (big, shoulder busting ones) with a high rep count and also a lot of callisthenics, repetitive exercises that use only the resistance provided by your own body to burn calories, increase flexibility, and build strength.

Kim Kardashian Slim-thick

The new compliment slim-thick may annoy some women but you’re in good company. Kim Kardashian is all about that exaggerated hourglass shape with thick thighs. No waifs in hurr. Can’t help you with the fake boobs but this shape is all about using weights and cardio cleverly to slim down and at the same time build your gluten to for that round bottom and big things. Thing weighted belts and leg weights to target specific areas without getting big arms and shoulders.

Jasmine Tookes Long and Lean

Victoria Secret Models like Jasmine Tookes may look frail but they are actually very strong.  They do lots of cardio but also a lot of exercises to lengthen their limbs. They need those to look as long as possible when they’re strutting their stuff. Pilates are your friend as they are known for lengthening and building muscles without the bulk also yoga for strengthening the core and back without muscle mass.
