Toluwaloju ‘Toju Foyeh’ Olowofoyeku is set to launch her very own fashion institute, The Toju Foyeh Institute in November , 2020. The renowned award winning fashion designer started her fashion brand in 2012, after attending the Instituto Marangoni in Italy. She has since then worked with celebrities and has over the years solidified her place in the fashion industry.
Toju Foyeh has always been keen on inspiring and educating upcoming fashion designers. Her first class which was in December 2017 was attended by 150 students, the students were taught the basics of fashion designing and were also given an opportunity to ask questions about the business of fashion. Toju Foyeh took on this project in the bid to empower the Nigerian youth and upcoming designers, with hopes that the academy will play it’s own part in nurturing and developing Nigeria’s future crop of aspiring and cutting edge designers.

The academy is situated in the heart of Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria, it will focus on; pattern drafting, cloth construction, fashion illustration, design theory, fashion photography etc. The academy will be offering weekday and weekend classes, there’s a class for everyone, students and working class alike.
By the end of the course, the students will have gained all the required base knowledge to deal with any kind of garment, they will be well prepared for a career in the technical and theoretical aspects of fashion through practical demonstration and hands on experience.
