Our jaws dropped the moment we saw Zozibini Tunzi make her way down the stage taking her final walk as Miss Universe. Ever so elegant the South African model and beauty pageant titleholder captivated the world in 2019 when she won the Miss Universe pageant and made sure to leave us on a high note last weekend. Zozibini looked stunning in a gorgeous Xhosa-inspired gown designed by South African designer Birgit “Biji” Gibbs of Biji La Maison de Couture. Biji also designed the star’s head-turning crowning outfit back in 2019.
For a dramatic final walk, Zozibini wore a dazzling monochrome dress that flattered her body perfectly and celebrated Xhosa heritage in a contemporary way. The design reportedly took about 800 hours to create. She completed the look with a matching headwrap and strappy sandals.
